1. Acceptance of terms
These terms apply to your use of MyPDFMate at www.mypdfmate.com, operated by Abdullah Butt("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
MyPDFMate provides free online tools for merging, splitting, converting, compressing, editing and protecting PDF and Office documents. Most tools run inside your web browser. A few conversions are processed on our servers, as described on each tool page and in our Privacy Policy.
No account is required. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.
3. Your files
You keep all rights to the files you process. We claim no ownership of them, and we use files sent to our servers only to perform the conversion you asked for. Server copies are deleted automatically within about an hour.
You are responsible for the files you process and must have the right to use, modify and convert them. We do not check who owns a file. Keep a copy of your original documents: processing creates a new file and we cannot recover a file once it has been deleted.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use MyPDFMate to:
- process content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights;
- remove passwords or protections from documents you are not authorised to open or change;
- upload malware, or try to attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service;
- use automated scripts to send large numbers of files to the server-based tools;
- interfere with the advertising on the site, for example by generating artificial ad clicks.
We may block access for anyone who breaks these rules.
5. Limits and fair use
Browser-based tools are limited only by your device. Server-based conversions accept files up to 100 MB and have per-visitor rate limits so the service stays free and available for everyone. If the servers are busy, a conversion may be refused temporarily.
6. Advertising
MyPDFMate is free because it shows advertising, which may be provided by Google AdSense. Ads are provided by third parties; we are not responsible for the products or services they promote. How advertising cookies work, and how to refuse them, is explained in our Cookie Policy.
7. Our content
The MyPDFMatename, logo, website design and written content (including guides and FAQs) belong to us. You may link to any page, but please don't copy our content or present the site as your own. Open-source components we use remain under their own licences.
8. No warranty
MyPDFMateis provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that a conversion will exactly match the original layout. Always check the result before relying on it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of MyPDFMate, including loss of data, loss of profits or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If you live in the EU or UK, you also keep the protections of the consumer laws of the country where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use MyPDFMate after a change means you accept the updated terms.
