The Core Promise

MyPDFMate processes most documents securely inside your browser using WebAssembly. For heavy tools that require cloud processing, we utilize secure, ephemeral server workers. These servers process your file in memory and immediately destroy the data upon completion. We do not maintain persistent logs of your documents.

Zero Persistent Document Collection

We do not collect, permanently store, or manually access any document content you process through MyPDFMate. For tools running via WebAssembly, no file uploads occur. For tools requiring server processing, files are encrypted in transit, held in temporary object storage strictly for the duration of the job, and automatically purged when it finishes or fails.

The Limited Technical Data We Process

Running a public website means a small amount of technical information is unavoidable. Here is all of it:

• Connection data.Your IP address and browser type are used transiently to deliver pages, enforce rate limits and block abuse. They may appear briefly in our hosting providers' security logs and are not linked to any document.
• Error reports. If something breaks, a technical report (page URL, browser, the error, and a masked replay of the interface with typed text and media hidden) is sent to Sentry so we can fix it. Document contents are never included.
• Your preferences. Your cookie choices and light/dark theme are stored only in your browser and are never sent to us.

Cookies, Advertising and Similar Technologies

MyPDFMate uses a handful of strictly necessary cookies and browser storage (your cookie choice, your theme, abuse protection and crash reporting). We do not run analytics trackers, and we never use cookies to read or identify your documents. Everything is itemised in our Cookie Policy.

To keep every tool free, we may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. Advertising cookies are only set after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can accept, reject, or change your choice at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer, and we honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal automatically. When you decide, your choice is passed to Google through Consent Mode so its tags respect it.

Third-Party Services We Rely On

The following providers may process the limited technical data described above, each under its own privacy policy and data-protection terms:

• Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited — advertising (AdSense), only with your consent. Privacy policy.
• Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — error monitoring. Privacy policy.
• Cloudflare, Inc. — temporary object storage for server-side tools, purged after each job. Privacy policy.
• Upstash, Inc. — short-lived rate-limit counters used to prevent abuse. Privacy policy.
• Hosting providers (Vercel, Inc. and Amazon Web Services) — serve the website and run the ephemeral processing workers.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, it is protected by recognised transfer mechanisms such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

No Account Required

MyPDFMate requires no sign-up, no email address, and no personal information of any kind. You simply open the website and start processing documents immediately.

Data Retention

• Documents: only for the duration of a server-side job, then deleted automatically. Browser-side tools never upload anything.
• Connection logs: kept briefly by our hosting providers for security purposes and then discarded.
• Error reports: retained by Sentry for up to 90 days.
• Cookie choice: 12 months in your browser, after which we ask again.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data-protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising by rejecting advertising cookies, using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer, or enabling Global Privacy Control. We never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Because we hold no accounts and no documents, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve or delete, but we will always respond to a request. Email support@mypdfmate.com and we will reply within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

MyPDFMate is a general-audience service and is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or show them personalised advertising. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Compliance

By defaulting to client-side WebAssembly execution where possible, MyPDFMate minimizes third-party data processor liabilities. Our hybrid architecture is designed with privacy at its core, ensuring data security and helping you maintain compliance with privacy regulations such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and HIPAA when handling sensitive documents.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. Updates are published on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and material changes that affect your cookie choices will trigger a fresh consent request.
